Stars’ beauty secrets

Whether you like the “extreme” overdone beauty or you’re a fan of the more natural girl-next door, all our beauty trends come from Hollywood and the Stars.
And we want them! The accessories, the fashions, and everything that goes on behind secret doors to make the actors sparkle behind our screens.
What are some of those beauty secrets and do we have access to them? Read what Dr. Costi had to say, and get ready for some shocking surprises.

Blood moisturizer
Blood is extracted from your arm and then put in a centrifuge to separate the plasma and white blood cells, which are then added to a cream that is called Blood Moisturizer. This is based on the suggestion that your own platelets can fight off signs of aging by reprogramming your skin.

Bird poop facial
Poop for glowing skin? It seems to be the newest anti-aging treatment.
Bird poop is sanitized, dehydrated then ground into a fine powder and mixed with water to form a paste that is applied like a mask.
Bird poop is said to be high in urea (which locks moisture) and guanine (which tightens the pores).
Not sure I’d like to try this one, would you?

Vampire facelift
The most photographed faces in the world (think Kim Kardashian) have made this the most famous procedure.
Basically it’s treatment that injects your face with your own platelets (extracted from your blood) to prevent wrinkles and boost collagen.
We know Kim K swears by it, this must be what it takes to keep up with a flawless complexion.

Gold face mask
Gold is not old! It’s burning social media pages with famous selfies in gorgeous gold faces.
A 24k Pure Gold Leaf Face Mask is said to renew cells, improve skin’s elasticity, and reduce wrinkle depth.
Actresses and lingerie models swear by this indulgent beauty treatment.

Milky spray
Mix milk with water for a hydrating facial spritz. Sounds simple enough right? A bit like Cleopatra but why not?
Just not sure how it would smell, but it’s easy to give it a go.

Snail skin care
The French eat snails, Hollywood actors smear them on their skin. It seems that a famous line of snail slime skin care products smooth and regenerate damaged tissue leaving you with soft, glowing skin. Because snail slime has a mix of elastin, glycolic acid and protein, these strange products are slithering their way to celeb popularity.

Oil everything
Especially helpful in caring for sensitive skin, oil will help you keep your face and body hydrated and calm.
Coconut, argan and olive oils, are easily available, affordable and easy to use anywhere anytime.
We love this!

Ice water
An old grandma’s trick that works! Submerge your face in freezing cold water to revitalize your glow. The icy temperature reduces puffiness and boosts circulation. We also like to use ice cubes made with rose water.

Natural fruit Toothpaste
More benefits of fresh fruits! Some stars use strawberry and pineapple to scrub their teeth to pearly whiteness.
Not sure how effective this is, but since it seems to work then it’s definitely worth a try.

Whatever you fancy to slow down the aging process and look fresh, just be careful of the extremes and always always seek Dr. Costi’s opinion before undergoing any cosmetic procedure.
If you fancy a change but you’re uncertain of what you need, our favorite doctor will advise you on the best treatment for your face and body.
And remember, true beauty shines from within!
