5 tips for the holidays

It’s the most wonderful time of the year!✨✨
It’s the season of love, sharing, parties and family, but it’s also a very busy holiday!
You might not have lots of time to take care of yourself. You might barely have time for a quiet coffee in the morning, let alone getting a good night’s sleep.
However, between the fun and the duties, there is no place for dull skin or tired eyes!
Here are Dr. Costi’s 5 commandments to stay fresh and picture perfect, whether you’re getting up at 5 AM or going to bed at 5 AM.

1. Always remove your make-up
The number one rule for any woman is: No matter how late it is or how busy you are, you must always remove your makeup.
If you are too exhausted to do a full routine, keep some facial wipes handy. At least you won’t wake up with red lipstick smudged all over your face and a fake eyelash stuck to your forehead.

2. Drink plenty of water
The best support for your liver is H2O, and a healthy liver means healthy radiant skin.
Since it will be working overtime during the festive season, you will need to help it flush out toxins. If you can’t get yourself to drink at least 2 liters a day, make your own light lemonade (with lemon slices and a natural sweetener) to help you keep your body hydrated.
We also recommend special tonics (hair, nails and skin), as well as natural energy shots. These can bring a natural boost to your immune system.

3. Sunscreen sunscreen
What does Dr. Costi always say? Summer or winter, it doesn’t matter! Do not even think you can forget about sunscreen! We can’t afford neither dry cheeks nor an oily face, so stay well protected from the elements.
Even under your makeup, if you’re heading out to a day on the snow or a party in open air, you must diligently apply it to your face and neck.

4. Moisturize deeply
A deep moisturizing mask is always a good idea, especially when your skin is working overtime and you’re not getting enough sleep. You will do this once, and the effect will be instantaneous: a magical glowing skin! This way, if you will not have time to apply primer before your makeup, at least your skin will be soft and supple.
Another good option is to keep a rosewater mist handy, spraying your face whenever it feels a bit dry. This is easy and quick, and it also works to relax your nerves (no time for yoga!)

5. Don’t forget your hands
Wrapping gifts, cooking, shopping, driving, hugging! Your hands will get their fair share during the holidays. They might be called holidays but your hands will be overworked. Don’t forget to get the perfect soft hands to go with your perfect manicure.
When you’re rushing keep a deep moisturizer in your purse, one in your car, and one in the kitchen. There’s no way you’ll forget it that way.
Another good rule is to apply a moisturizer every time you wash your hands.

So now you look great and you feel great, and what’s left is for you to have a great time and for us to wish you Happy Holidays!
Stay active, stay healthy and stay beautiful! And remember our favorite doctor’s words: real beauty shines from within!
