Do you know your face shape?

Hello virtual beauties, and greetings from behind our face masks which are hiding half our face. Now that’s ok, because as Dr. Costi always says “true beauty comes from within”. But did you know that if you have the right face shape, it can elevate your beauty by 40%?
Face symmetry is actually the base of all beauty standards, and it just so happens that Dr. Costi is an expert at it.
Knowing your face shape is also the base to knowing the best haircut, makeup, eye glasses, as well as cosmetic procedures that could be the best for you.
So how about we find out what is your face shape?

How to Determine Your Shape
There are some general characteristics tied to specific face shapes.
For instance, a rounded jawline is typically tied to a rounder face shape, while a pointed chin is closely associated with a heart-shaped face. Take note of the angles and contours of your face to see whether they’re soft or sharp or pronounced or not.

Round Face Shape
Round face shapes are typically pretty symmetrical. With a round face shape, your face is about the same width and length, and you have a round jawline and chin.
Cheekbones aren’t particularly prominent on a round face.
Round faces tend to be circular in appearance and have no major angles or edges.
Examples of celebrities with a round face shape: Ginnifer Goodwin, Mila Kunis.
Typical trait: the width of your face is essentially same as the length.

Square Face Shape
The key to a square face lies in the jawline. With a square face shape, your forehead, cheekbones and jaw will be the same width, but your jaw will have sharp angles to it.
Square face shapes are similar in appearance to a round face, but have a more pronounced, wide jawline.
A square face has very minimal curves to it.
Examples of celebrities with a square face shape: Demi Lovato, Cameron Diaz, Olivia Wilde, Lucy Liu.
Typical trait: the width of your forehead is the same width as your jaw.

Diamond Face Shape
Diamond and heart-shaped faces are very similar, but diamond faces definitely have their own unique traits:
Diamond face shapes have a narrow forehead and a small chin.
Your cheekbones will be the widest part of your face and sit nice and high.
Your forehead won’t be as wide as a heart-shaped face.
Examples of celebrities with a diamond face shape: Jennifer Lopez, Scarlett Johansson, Tyra Banks, Liz Hurley.
Typical trait: your cheekbones are wider than your forehead and jawline.

Oval/oblong Face Shape
The oval is considered the “ideal” face shape, and is also the most common. Celebrity examples of the oval face shape.
An oval/long face is longer than it is wide.
You’ll also have a round chin and jawline.
If the lower half of your faces seems to be longer than the top, you have a long face. Also the forehead will typically be the widest part of the face, while all the other features remain rounded and soft.
Examples of celebrities with oval/long faces: Julianne Moore, Jessica Alba, Kate Middleton.
Typical trait: your face is longer than it is wide.

Heart Face Shape
Heart shaped faces are somewhat similar in appearance to round faces, but have a wider forehead. They are considered as “mathematically beautiful”.
A heart-shaped face, also called V shape, will typically have a larger, wider forehead. Then the face gets more angled towards the chin, finishing into a point.
You have a slender jawline and your cheekbones and forehead are the widest parts of your face.
Examples of celebrities with heart-shaped faces: Reese Witherspoon, Kerry Washington, Ruby Rose.
Typical trait: your jawline is narrow and ends with a strong chin.

Rectangular Face Shape
A rectangle face shape is actually a mix of the oval and square shaped face. It’s essentially the long face with angular edges.
Rectangular face shapes feature a square jaw and a face that’s longer than it is wide, with a high forehead.
Examples of celebrities with rectangle face shapes: Liv Tyler, Kim Kardashian, Courtney Cox, Meryl Streep.
Typical trait: the sides of your face follow a straight line from your jaw to your forehead.

Research shows that square face shapes and heart face shapes are the most in demand, attractive or loved face shapes. So while your shape is purely a result of genetics (you’re born like that), this doesn’t mean you can’t tweak your original face shape to get phenomenal results.
