The procedure combines multiple treatment modalities
1- Botox injection to treat the smokers lines
Injecting 1 to 2 units on each side of the philtrum will smooth out those wrinkles called “smokers lines”. Smokers notice the appearance of these lines early in life. However, non-smokers can also have these lines. Botox will make it look better.
2- Botox injection to lift both corners of the mouth.
The Depressor Anguli Oris muscle can be hyperactive in some patients. This mainly leads to pull-down of both corners of the mouth. This results in a sad looking lips. Injecting Botox in this muscle will elevate the corners of the mouth.
3- Filler injections to correct the marionette lines
Hyaluronic acid injections combined with botox (point 2) is the best way to correct and improve the appearance of Marionette lines. Fillers are very safe if used properly.
4- Ablative Fractional Co2 Laser resurfacing
This fractional CO2 laser technology has been used to perform a host of functions, including skin resurfacing and the treatment of acne scars. Now it can give men and women a younger look by rejuvenating the skin around your mouth. Fractional Co2 Laser will stimulate the formation of collagen and will soften peri-oral wrinkles.
5- Lip Augmentation
Lip Augmentation involves the injection of hyaluronic acid inside the lip for more volume.
6- Peri-oral Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)
Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy involves the injection of the patient’s own platelets and fibrin for the cosmetic treatment of wrinkles or scars in the face, hands, and neck.
Dr. Costi’s Lip Fit combines one or more of the above procedures to rejuvenate the peri-oral area.
