Lockdown can suck a little but we have no choice! It is our obligation to stay safe for the sake of our families. But it can also be sweet! It all depends on how you decide to spend your time in quarantine. What we’ve been doing is baking cookies during the day, and pampering our skin with treatments at night. Best part is that you can do both with ingredients you already have in your fridge.
So would you like to try out some home-made recipes? No not for the delicious cookies, for healthy glowing skin!

The glowing face mask
This is suitable for all skin types.
Ingredients:
1 banana, 1 orange, honey.
Recipe:
Mash half of the banana, and mix with 1 tablespoon of orange juice and 1 tablespoon of honey.
Apply to your face for 15 minutes (and try not to lick it off!).
Rinse with lukewarm water.

The acne fighting face mask
Ingredients:
Honey (a great antibacterial which fights acne), nutritional yeast (rich in Vitamin B which calms the skin), chamomile tea.
Recipe:
Prepare a cup of chamomile tea (with 2 tea bags), then let it cool.
Stir in a bowl 1 tablespoon of raw honey, and 1 teaspoon of nutritional yeast.
Add a bit of the chamomile tea to the bowl to create a paste that you can spread across your skin.
Apply a thin layer to your face and wait 20 minutes.
Rinse off with lukewarm water and pat dry.

The soothing anti-inflammation face and body mask
Tumeric is a secret weapon against excess sebum, inflammation and hyperpigmentation. It can also be used as a spot treatment for pimples.
Ingredients:
Turmeric powder, 1 lemon, drinking water.
Recipe:
In a bowl with the water, add 3 tablespoons of turmeric powder and 2 tablespoons of lemon juice. Mix until thick.
Apply to your face for 10 minutes or until you feel your skin tightening.
The gentle exfoliation face and body mask
Suitable for all skin types.
Ingredients:
Buttermilk (or cream), yogurt.
Recipe:
Add half a cup of buttermilk to 2 tablespoons of yogurt, then mix.
Apply to your face for 2 hours (or even more).
Gently wash off to reveal a smooth and glowing skin!

The full body hydrating mask
This is a super anti-oxidant and smoothing mask filled with skin regenerative properties. Use it for any part of your body that needs some love and care.
Ingredients:
1 avocado, organic cocoa powder, honey.
Recipe:
Mash the avocado turning it into a paste. Then add in 4 tablespoons of cocoa powder and 4 tablespoons of honey. Mix it all very well and lick the spoon!
Make sure your body is clean and dry, then apply the mask to the desired skin area.
Leave it on for 10 minutes before washing off with warm water.
The hair nourishing mask
This will revitalize your dry hair in no time!
Ingredients:
1 avocado, 1 banana, 1 egg, olive oil.
Recipe:
Mash half the avocado with half the banana, until no clumps are left.
Beat the egg, then add it to the paste, incorporating with 2 tablespoons of olive oil.
Apply to hair for 30 minutes (and wrap it up so you don’t touch it!)
Rinse off with cool water (not warm and not hot because it would cook the egg lol). Wash hair with a moisturizing sulfate free shampoo.
The mattifying face mask
This works wonders for soothing oily skin.

1 egg, honey, olive oil, oatmeal.
Recipe:
Mix 1 egg yolk with 1 tablespoon of honey, 1 tablespoon of olive oil and half a cup of oatmeal.
